Here at Key Largo Baptist Church, visitors are always welcome and new members are received with open arms. We believe that God is pleased when an individual or family unites with a Bible-believing church and serves the Lord through that church.
There are three ways to join Key Largo Baptist Church:
By Salvation Followed By Believer’s Baptism
Each Sunday, we have preaching from the Bible on a variety of subjects pertaining to the Christian life. We always include the message of salvation in the sermon. We preach about the love of God for lost mankind, His blood atonement, and the need for personal faith in Jesus Christ. At the end of the sermon, an invitation is extended for anyone in the congregation to come forward. If you have never been saved, this would be an ideal time for you to address this need in your life. If you have already been saved, the invitation time is your opportunity to come forward and make your faith in Christ known publicly. After salvation, Christians in the Bible followed the example of our Lord Jesus and were immersed in water. This ‘believer’s baptism’ portrays our faith in the Lord’s death, burial, and resurrection. Once you are saved, you can join our church by following the Lord in believer’s baptism. When you come forward to make your faith in Christ public, simply tell the pastor that you desire to be baptized as a believer and join the church.
By Transfer Of Membership From Another Bible-Based Church Of Like Faith
If you are already saved and have been baptized by immersion in a church of like faith, you can become a member of our church by simple transfer of letter. During the invitation time, come forward and tell the pastor of your desire to unite with our church.
By Statement Of Faith
Occasionally, someone will seek to join our church who is no longer a member of another Bible-believing church. Although they have already been saved and baptized, they have no church home to write to for a transfer of membership. If this is your case, you can be received into membership by statement of faith. When the invitation is given at the end of the service, come forward and inform the pastor of your situation.
We would consider it a blessing if you would choose to serve the Lord through Key Largo Baptist Church… And we look forward to serving together with you and your family.
